It depends on the judge.I saw a story recently about a judge that got so fed up because a majority of people don't show up, that he summoned a bunch to hear their excuses, and either excused them or told them to show up again soon. It's supposed to be illegal. One thing to think about, possibly, is California versus AZ law. I don't know what Cali law is with how soon you are supposed to change over and become their "citizen", but I would wonder if you are just violating their law(maybe maybe not) and it would be valid for AZ as an excuse if asked in the future... It's not AZ's residency rules you're violating right? |
