The ones that live in places with better education systems and quality of life (Turkey, Bulgaria, former Yugoslavia, Indonesia, former Soviet republics) are no different than your average Christian (except in the poor parts of those same countries).That is not really true. You should talk to more Muslims and get their view. And I don't even mean religious ones. Talk to Muslims your age that can't get through the entire Ramadan while fasting or that will drink alcohol on occasion. Ask them if they supported the fatwa against Rushdie. Their answers might surprise you. |
