I thought the terrorists who took out the WTC were Wahhabis, which are the Islamic sect which teaches that all who don't believe as they do must be eleiminated.You are correct Dan Lawrence. The Park51 people OTOH are Sufis. Bosnian, Bulgarian and Albanian Muslims and many Turks for example are from a Sufi-inspired brand of Islam that is very tolerant. The Wahhabists are strong in garbage cultures like Saudi Arabia, Yemen and the Gulf States. Al-Qaedists are Wahhabi. They are also very influential on the Taliban. |
