No use when the one I'm debating simply chooses what is and isn't reliable based on what he agrees and doesn't agree with, and when the SAME source CAN be used to attack the EU, but CAN'T when it comes to the US Well, you cite absolutely nothing. And I'm not cherrypicking anything; if RWB is using a double standard, they're using a double standard, but that doesn't invalidate the facts they cite, and the EU Observer article stuck with those as they related to the EU. Not my fault if you don't like certain facts; you certainly liked it when RWB cited favorable stats for EU member states, not that those matter when the EU is starting to exert supremacy over the press in those member states. And what's your paranoia about "attack(ing) the EU"? Is the EU sacred and inviolable? If neither the US nor Israel are, then the EU is just as open. |
