Spider, you better recheck your history books. Eisenhower was not a great general during the war, more of a political referee, but he turned out to be an outstanding President. Considering the bunch of mediocrities that followed====Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford and Carter, Ike stands damn tall. We had peace and prosperity, he ended the Korean War, and the country's morale was at an all time high.

You are way off in your thinking on this.
