Since the e-mails were semt on government computers and read on government time, I have a problem with this. Somewhere along the line, it needs to be investigated.

... and that's where we part.

It doesn't need an investigation. As far as I'm concerned the guy has poor judgment, should be reprimanded by the President (not a public reprimand) and reminded that this is unacceptable. And then it ends.

Congress and the President need to focus on things that matter.

If the press wants to chase down whether this is common practice -- either within the Education Department or others -- I'm happy to let them do so, on their own dime.
