NO, African-Americans should NOT for Republicans at the present time because my party has lost its way from its heritage as the anti-slavery party and party of emancipation and civil rights. However, we should be getting more than 8-10% of the black vote because the Democrats do a lot of talking about hope and promises and never delivering on them. My party has to work hard to restore trust that we have lost over the years and I think that is absolutely necessary. One way to do that is to run African-American candidates in caucasian areas for Congress and the state legislature and be out in front in doing everything to better the rotten schools that permeate the black neighborhoods in this country. As for black people themselves, they must do all they can to keep their families together so that their children are not fatherless. The fact that 71% of all black children are born out of wedlock is a crime against these children Of course, whites are trying to catch up as well. It is now over 30% in that dubious category. |
