When an African-American takes pride in himself he is proud of being black and it is cause for praise in the media and elsewhere. Nothing wrong with that from where I sit. The same for Native Americans being proud of being red, or Asian peoples proud of being yellow. When a caucasian, however, says he is proud to be white he is accused of being a racist. That is bullshit!!!!! If one race or ethnic group is proud of who they are then that should apply to all groups. I am proud of my Italian-American heritage and happy to be caucasian. If that elicits some stares and accusations that I might be a bigot, well, as they say in Russia---TOUGH SHITSKY!!!!!!!! |
