I objected to the disbursement of public funds to churches for them to evangelize. I objected to them using taxpayer money to use big box churches to replace FEMA after they gutted the non-religious federal agency. The 'ground zero' mosque is being funded with private money, most of which comes from a gentleman who owns a quarter of Murdoch's NewsCorp. The only objectionable interface between church and state here is those who try to tie the entirety of Islam to terrorism and in doing so seek to use governments to prevent them from practicing their religion in the place and manner of their choosing. |
