Regardless no one is born gay or straight, sexual orientation is a learned behavior or is a straight up decision.

Before I go any further in my reply, here is a synopsis of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) study, which found, among other things, that homosexuality is heritable, and has a genetic origin. This 1991 study was performed by your government, and is supported by independent research into biological origins of homosexuality, done by such diverse schools and institutions as Villanova, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, Johns-Hopkins Medical School, and the National Institute of Science.

Your sweeping, summary dismissal of homosexuality as a "lifestyle" or "learned behavior" is lacking in both merit and factual support. It further suggests that gays and lesbians "choose" to be part of a group that is discriminated against, ridiculed, beaten, killed, legislated against, and even disowned by their families, all because of who they are. Does it sound like a rational choice for a person to make, and suffer all that? In stating that homosexuality is a choice or a learned behavior, you also open the door to justifying every bad thing that is, and has been, done to the LGBT community throughout history.

You are welcome to prove to me, with citations of scientific research, that being gay is a "choice" or "learned behavior".
