The contract doesn't allow that to be an option. The only thing that can stop the sale now is if the appraisal reveals a price that is too high (the appraisal is expected to come in at around $20 million) and Soho Equities balks at the purchase price.As for the PSC, it can only consider whether or not this would affect ConEd's ability to deliver electricity. I would not be surprised if this ownership were a relic going back to the days of Thomas Edison himself. |
