The smallest world story I have thats transit related was when I worked at St Mary's hospital in Brooklyn as a Ambulance driver. While standing around waiting for the next call I started a conversation with a very nice West Indian man.After a few minutes I came to find out he was the train operator involved in the Queens Blvd crash in 1970. He told me it was the car inspectors fault but he got fired. He really seemed that he still was hurt by the turn of events even after 23 years. (it was 1993 when I met him) |
