False. The group involved has pushed Shariah law. They want Shariah Law to be more prominent in the US. The location is also no accident.This is not some religious group that is looking for a place where old ladies can play some bridge over coffee and cake. Cordoba the name is also no accident. Cordoba, the seat of the caliphate established in what is now Spain after the Islamic invasion from North Africa hundreds of years ago. Spain was occupied at that time and is considered by Islamic theorists to have been an inevitable step in the manifest destiny of Islam, and reversal of the triumph of the infidels over Islam. The mosque at Cordoba was built on the foundation of a Christian cathedral, and when Europeans retook Cordoba they turned mosque back into a cathedral. The name "Cordoba" is no accident. |
