Marx got his prejudiced viewpoint from looking at conditions at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. (The ironic thing is, one of these factories that he so deplored was owned by his buddy Friedrich Engels.) Marx and Engels spent more time in France than in England, and the improvements in conditions that eventually came about they weren't exactly witness to. |
