CROWD3 and all the rest are navigation fixes/intersections/routing (Waypoints/Identifiers) which define the flight path. CROWD3 is most likely a Standard Instrument Departure out of TPA or a Continuous Descent/Standard Terminal Arrival into the destination. Often, the last fix in the route of flight will be something like CROWD3.CROWD which means CROWD may be just one of multiple fixes on the CROWD3 to transition from the Enroute Structure to the approach. Alot more complicated but for purposes of this discussion, there it is in a nutshell. By the way, most all fixes are 5 letters. I flew over DUNKN alot... thanks for the memory. |
