There are other instances, but I am not moderator nor I would want to be one. However this is not a chat group, if you want conversation then there are plenty of chatrooms for that. Then why is it called "Subchat"? Even "Subtalk" is a term that implies conversation when applied to a message board (even if it meant propaganda in MTA usage). This is a place to post messages that should contain one of the following: 1. A question to ask. 2. Answering what was asked in 1 (see above) Yes. 3. An announcement Okay. 4. A piece of information, it could be an event, an incident or a newsworthy item. Facts, not fiction, should be used. I slightly disagree. While factual information, events, etc, can and should be posted, I see nothing wrong with fiction so long as it's clearly labeled as fiction and not mixed with facts. 5. Someone who is new to the boards, and is saying hello for the first time. Also, humor, kidding around, etc. are appropriate for a message board such as this one. However, bad jokes can and do annoy folks, so bad jokes should be kept to a minimum. If I had been moderating this board, I'd have allowed SOME letting off of steam, but not to the point where idiots start calling for bans against other folks. |
