Anyone with a DUI. I heard that they consider a DUI to be a felony and I know at least one person that was denied entry because of it. Oh, and that reminds me. With all of this talk about naturalized citizens, it should be noted that naturalized citizens have never been treated the same as US born on immigration matters. A guy that I used to work with went to Canada from NY with coworkers and when they came back to the US all of the coworkers were allowed back in, but because he was naturalized he was required to use a passport to enter Canada and come back. This was 20 years ago when natural born citizens only needed a drivers license. They made him call a relative and fax a copy of his (passport?, naturalization papers?) paperwork before he was let back in. He couldn't get hold of anyone and was stuck at the border for hours. |
