True! You know what, I am going to get killed again over this but WTF!

Times Square and CI are being reclaimed thanks to Rudy. I could care less what others say about it. They are entitled to their opinions and I am entitled to mine.
Charles Gargano of the Empire State Development Corp wanted to redevelop 42nd Street going back to 1980! Even after Sfacheem became governor in 1982. But it stalled for years. Why? BECAUSE OF THE ADULT BUSINESSES. Before they were able to begin the transformation and reconstruction, the Adult businesses had to go. Enter Rudy!! after a big fight he succeeded and that started the Times Square Boom! In addition, he just happened to take care of the out of control crime as well!!! This brought tourists and the rest is history. We were able to recover much quicker after 9/11 because of this. Now onto CI. Howard Golden (Brooklyn BP before 2001) wanted an amature Sportplex to rise where MCU stadium is. Horrace Bullard a black property owner wanted to develop a new Steeplechase. When the city ran out of patience with him... you guessed it out comes the rasce card. This delayed anything in CI for years. Rudy had enough and pushed for the minor league stadium which opened in 2001. Now with a new stadium, families were attracted to the area. THey stayed around after the gsmes and spent mopney in the amusement area, the MTA noticed and the Stillwell project after years on the back burner was now front and center. Now all of a sudden artists, hipsters, and families started to come down to CI and PEOPLE Noticed. As a result the zoning change went through, NYC purchased the land from Thor and CI will be better than it ever was. All thanks to Rudy. This is my opinion based on the facts I have about the issue.
