Chicago's situation is VERY similar to NY. People call it "Chicago Pizza" just because it's "deep dish" pizza in a Chicago style. But it's not, and while it may be "good", it's NOT the same thing.It's the same with NY pizza. I am not saying that there isn't good "Neopolitan" pizza (which is what NY pizza is a style of) outside of NY, it just isn't the same as good "NY Pizza". As I said, there is plenty inferior pizza IN the NY area itself. |
