Of course. That's just the problem of evil that I mentioned in a post several days ago. If you're a monotheist who believes in an all good, all powerful, all knowing God, then why do awful things happen?

When it comes to matters of faith, I consult my Bible, Battlestar Galactica. To quote Gaius Baltar:

God's a force of nature, beyond good and evil. Good and evil, we created those.

God doesn't do good or evil things. He does things and human beings judge them as good or evil.
