Yesterday was not a good day for Ms. Coakley:She got waxed in last night's debate by Brown. Why? Well, insisting that Afghanistan is free of terrorists was a major reason. Reminds you of the moment in a 1976 debate where Ford insisted Poland wasn't a Communist country. She debuted her first major attack ad yesterday and misspelled Massachussetts. Now, a day after Brown raises 1.3 million from a grassroots internet "money bomb", Coakley heads to Washington to woo 17 healthcare and pharmaceutical company lobbyists to compensate. Even her CNN apologists question the wisedom of this. |
