Correct, I am not a "liberal" and never was, but I was never a "right winger" either. I did support Clinton (for the most part), and did vote for him, although not in 1992 as mentioned, but in 1996. I also had a hard time in 1988, and "almost" voted for Dukakis.
I am not really a right winger either (REALLY), but I do agree that the current Democratic party has moved to far left for me. I do identify just right of center, but the Democratic party has moved too far left. That said, I am not thrilled with the Republican party either, as they moved too far right, but what are people just left of center or just right of center to do when you have what the current Democratic party gives us, and the current Republican party gives us...it's a lesser of two evils in my opinion, and since I do identify right of center, I don't have much choice but to vote for the Republican in some of these circumstances, as the Democrats are often way too far left.
This dilemma is mostly on the bigger campaigns....I have no problem with pulling Democratic for many of my local politicians, etc.
