"Dead" DNA can hurt you as much as "live" DNA. It's a chemical, after all, and can affect your "living" DNA or cause a very bad immune system reaction that would lead to shock or other severe symptoms. (Many vaccines have the DNA and RNA removed so that no such harm can come to the recipient. If your enzymes don't fully digest all the DNA or RNA from consumed food, you could be in for a shock.) |
