ad hominum attacks.

Towards of the men attacks? "Ad" takes the accusative, not the genitive. Or looking at it another way, "homo" is a third declension noun; there is no such word as "hominus".

So "argumentum ad hominem".

SingularPlural
Nominativehomohomines
Genitivehominishominum
Dativehominihominibus
Accusativehominemhomines
Ablativehominehominibus
