Who are gay?(besides Barney Frank)the muslim(besides keith ellison)The atheist and others?The other two openly gay members besides Frank are Tammy Baldwin (WI) and Jared Polis (CO). The other Muslim besides Ellison is Andre' Carson (IN). They are both Sunni. The atheist is Pete Stark (CA). The two Buddhists are Mazie Hirono (HA) and Hank Johnson (GA). I erroneouly listed the Soka Gakkai and Jodu Shinsu separetely but the two Buddists are members of those movements within Buddhism. The Unitarian is Walt Minnick (ID). Democrats also have one Quaker (Rush Holt-IL) and five Eastern Orthodox (The GOP has one Eastern Orthodox). The sole Republican Jew is Eric Cantor (VA). |
