Fred, you are really belittling yourself trying to defend Chris' statements. It's not becoming, and is hurting your credibility.We all know what would happen if Chris was reporting on a Black person's book signing, and he would have said, "Wow, that is a Black crowd collecting there, they almost look tribal". There are times to be partisan, and then there are times to say, yes, that was a bad way to report this. You are just belitting yourself, as you are just taking the "tribal" apsect of it, and completely forgetting the "White crowd", etc part of it. No amount of excuses will make that Matthews clip look rosy. No matter the political affiliation or beliefs, I think most people agree it was very bad reporting. I respect RIPTA and Selkirk highly for admitting it. Time to move on. |
