The tag "racist" is sadly some stigma attached to Republicans, apparently because of guilt by association. Just because some prominent Republicans including Strom Thurmond, Herbert Hoover and Richard Nixon were racists does not mean all Repulicans are racist.

And for Dems: One of their party's all time greatest heroes, Woodrow Wilson was a strong believer in "seperate but equal", having growing up in post-Reconstruction South.
