However bad Obama may turn out to be, it's unlikely he will ever be as bad as bush was. Obama wasn't handed a budget surplus, information of what was becoming a national & global security threat (bush avoided meetings about and spurned information on Alqueda during his 2000 transition) and a world largely at peace. Things are so bad that doing anything will be viewed as a positive by history, and anything he does won't fix things overnight. |
