And the other side was insisting that Bin Hidin' showed up in Texas ... the PROBLEM is that people pay attention to stories that aren't stories yet but rather rumors, inuendos and a whipping up of the populace over pookahs. Like balloon boy. The "Islamosympathy" angle was probably the result of the inflammatory stories which at the time had no basis. As the investigators find out more and more in time, then maybe we can start pointing fingers if we must elsewhere other than the perp.So far though, sure does seem like his Imam wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole, he was being harassed for both his politics and his religion, and wasn't much of a soldier to begin with. We've had Christian soldiers flip out and do the same thing in the past and yet we weren't talking about burning down churches over it. I think that's pretty much where the attitude you didn't like was coming from. Asking for restraint until the facts were in. Seems to have been Obama's point too. Sometimes a situation is cut and dried. Car hits pedestrian, driver stumbles out of the car and falls on his face. Guilty. Sometimes a car has a leak in the gas tank, the muffler scrapes on the road and the car explodes. NOT a car bomb. Sometimes you have to wait to find out what REALLY happened once it's figured out. Don't equate the two. |
