I sat in Yankee Stadium as a Met Fan in a 2000 World Series game and the abuse I heard in and out of that Satdium towards the Mets was classic.It works both ways.What the hell do you THINK is going to happen in a stadium during a World series team when the teams are playing eachother?? You root for your league, in this case, National, when the series is played or the All Star Game. Bull-CRAP! If it was the Mets playing the Red Sox or the Angels, there is no way in HELL I would be rooting for the Red Sox! I don't understand you wanting the Mets big rival, the Phillies to win! Another example, I am a Jets fan.... I was screaming "Go Giants" the whole superbowl when they were playing the Patriots. No way I am rooting for the Patriots (or Buffalo or Miami for that matter). That would be as absurd as a Giants fan rooting for the Eagles or the Cowboys. |
