It's probably a combination of combat syndrome, the shooter's Islamic background, and a few other things. That he was a shrink at a base at which there soldiers back from both Iraq and Afghanistan plays into this, as that may have put him in a position to be listening to troops telling their tales of what was going on over there. What's interesting is that he quite a few things to say about suicide bombers, soldiers, etc. online - the Army is (and should) be looking at it so we could know what was going through his head. All this, poor evaluations, and then word that he's about to get shipped out to the ME.Let's see where this goes. |
