From 2001 through 2007, the Yankees performed as follows:

2001: Lost in the World Series
2002: Lost in the ALDS
2003: Lost in the World Series
2004: Lost in the ALCS
2005: Lost in the ALDS
2006: Lost in the ALDS
2007: Lost in the ALDS

They had a legit shot to win titles every one of these years. Don't tell me that they were beat up on. Tampa lost 90+ games in each of those years. THEY were beat up on.
