Traditionally, yes. However, there's been some "blue creep" there since they had that big budget crisis under Gulotta. What happened last night was that Suozzi barely held onto his seat as County Executive, while the Democratic line lost the races for County Clerk and Comptroller, and failed to get a majority in the county legislature. |
