Reagan definitely had the ability to read a script, and compared to "deer caught in headlights" that went over well. But in the end, Reagan was the perfect puppet for the party. No point in going over the details as to why I say that, ancient history and revisionism make it not worth the arguing. :)

But yeah, as the republicans go more hardcore with their "ethnic cleansing" they'll probably see a revival amongst those who aren't paying attention.
