It depended on how much leeching of the material happened. Sorta like DuPont's first "teflon" formula. Melamine however has lasting effects beyond the immediate illness it *can* cause. Now did those plates behave like lead goblets in ancient Rome? Probably not ... but the effects of long term exposure to it could be something else.But melamine plates went away because of this research ... |
