My friend, take it up with the USDA. They set the definition, not me. As a rose is a rose is a rose, bacon is bacon is bacon. Rose does not equal tulip, and pig does not equal beef. It be similar, but it does not meet the government's definition of bacon; not do those "bacon bits" made out of God knows what that are not porcine either. Exactly. "Bacon Bits" are NOT bacon, "Turkey Bacon" is not bacon, and Cured beef belly is NOT bacon either. Only "Bacon" is "Bacon". |
