Climate, by it's definition is always changing.It is true that climate has changed throughout the ages (not by definition but based on the evidence). Some politicians say that they want to "combat climate change"; in other words they want to keep the climate constant. You might be able to keep the global average temperature constant for a short while, and as it happens there has been very little change in global average temperature for the last ten years. However if what you really want to do is to combat global warming, that could be done by reducing greenhous gas emissions, which could have the desired effect if you believe Al Gore and the IPCC "consensus". |
