You and your lawsuits.Actually: Combining the M-V through the Christie St connector and having it run from Forest Hills to Metropolitan Av would make it possible for the Z to terminate at the abandoned Atlantic Av platforms during the reverse peak rush hour. That way you can use the old South Ferry terminal to run the Bowling Green Shuttle when the 5 is running to Brooklyn and run the 6 there all day. If they time it right this would allow the SAS to go through a new tunnel at 72st St with a station at York-1st Av. and terminate at Rooselvelt Island leaving enough room for the E to be extended to Belmont Park. That would open up the option of rebuilding the 3rd Av El in Manhattan to relieve overcrowding on the Lexington Av subway. |
