It takes longer to create new jobs than to save existing ones. In fact the latter takes no time at all.Many of the states are facing budget deficits, which are not allowed, and therefore existing jobs are threatened. The obvious solution would be for the government to provide more aid directly to the states. I have no confidence in the government's ability to create millions of "green" jobs any time soon; and I think need for more infrastructure has been exaggerated. |
