White firefighters who studied hard should not get promoted because no blacks could pass the test.I think this was already hashed out in a different thread. It was within the New Haven Civil Service Board's right not to certify the election results. It's the job of the court to determine if a law was upheld, not to act based on one's opinion of the validity of that law. |
