It could be the CNN poll that's the "outlier".....

No, most other polls have Obama's approval rating in the 60-65 percent range. Rasmussen is the only major poll that reports percentages based on "likely voters," meaning they screen out certain respondents based on demographic criteria.

The latest Quinnipiac poll shows an approval rating of 57%. Given that it has the largest sample size (3,063 registered voters) and is nicely between Rasmussen and the other polls, it's probably the most accurate. Quinnipiac has historically been a few points higher than Rasmussen and a few points lower than the rest; Obama's approval rating was 58% in March and April and 59% in February and May.
