Good fiscal policy demands these tax increases on every group of Americans to balance the budget and keep the American Dollar, which is a fiat currency, sound and safe.I agree. I think that the tax cut expirations for the wealthy of 2011 and the winding down of the Iraq War will take care of some of our midterm deficit problems. Over the long term I think that we need to remove caps on Social Security taxes and overhaul our tax loopholes and contracting practices. There also needs to be a long-term plan to increase wages and keep good-paying American jobs here at home to insure growth. |
