Irrelevant.Even the most left wing people don't want any able people to be on welfare for their whole lives. I don't know anyone who is in favor of welfare for any reason other than: - A temporary benefit while someone is having misfortune. - A permanent benefit for someone who is truly permanently disabled. The only issue with welfare is not on principle but where to draw the line: how long a temporary benefit is OK, and what constitutes permanently disabled. |
