Walter Reed hospital was a fiasco, but that's not the total VA picture.The WRAMC fiasco is a perfect example of privatization ineptitude. The dilapidated out-patient dorm that was the subject of the scandal was privatized by orders of that Great American Genius Donald Rumsfeld when it was still well-run by the Govt. Within a few years the private contractor turned it into a squalid national shame. WRAMC is run by DoD not VA. |
