Try getting from NYC to Catskill, NY by public transportation. Catskill is a county seat, it's on a major rail line, and it's on the Thruway. It's a regional center with a Home Depot and other large stores. It's possible to get there from NYC, but it's not pretty.It looks possible, by taking Amtrak to Columbia County Public Transportation, then a mile long walk across the Rip Van Winkle Bridge to connect with the Rip Van Winkle Express. Not pretty, but possible. |
