Because the highway would be taxed via property taxesThat's a bit presumptuous. Just because they did that to the railroads doesn't mean that the highways would be. (I'm surprised that John Mica never, ever campaigns for utterly privatized highways, but is a big champion of the "private sector" building HSR. Funny, ain't it?) |
