He was great and before his time. Definitely not suitable for AM/FM radio in those days. ("The price of meat has just gone up, and your mother has just gone done," or words to that effect, is another memorable line).I was ridiculed for liking the Mothers in the mid-60's; Dylan and S&G were just becoming popular; forget about the Beatles and the Stones. Anyone who listened to "underground" music was weird; and I guess I still am. |
