Garbage men, cops, firefighters, factory workers, construction workers, TA workers, mechanics, resturaunt workers (particularly those involved in baking, which is what I was doing when I worked 6 AM - 2 PM). Not everyone works 9-5. In fact I'd say those who DON'T outnumber those who do. I've worked unusual hours. The 6 AM - 2 PM shift, the 4 PM to midnight shift (called the "swing" shift) and, for a short time a 1 AM to 9 AM shift. I usually had breakfast for dinner during those 6 weeks, which is why I took a pay cut to return to more normal hours. |
