Sorry, but Steele ran with Bob Ehrlich as the candidate for Lt. Governor when Ehrlich was running for Governor.Therefore, Steele was elected to a Maryland Office. He and Ehrlich ran for re-election against Martin O'Malley and lost big time. Both Republicans who were elected to the Office of Governor since 1960 were one-term Governors who were succeeded by a Democrat. |
