Actually, Powell is a buffoon. I'm so glad he decided not to run in '96. I want the first black president to be a failed Democrat, not a phony Republican (a la our wonderful mayor). Powell is a perfect example of why the GOP needs leaders of substance, not racial/ethnic tokens. I hope Steele is the former, not the latter. |
